DropCPL vs Northbeam
Northbeam is a measurement platform for DTC brands. It combines first-party data, multi-touch attribution and marketing mix modelling to estimate the contribution of each channel and campaign, including the parts that cannot be observed directly. Flat subscription: the price does not follow your revenue, and it is the same on every plan.
Where Northbeam is the right choice
- → Modelling depth: attribution plus MMM, which is the right tool when spend is large enough that incrementality questions matter more than last-click questions.
- → It is designed for high spend, where a percentage point of efficiency pays for the platform many times over.
- → It is the reference point in the DTC analytics conversation, so hiring people who know it is easier.
How DropCPL differs
Modelled measurement vs an observed identifier
Northbeam estimates contribution with models. DropCPL observes a specific click, on a page it served, attached to a specific ad, and reports the leads that arrived. Models are necessary when you cannot observe; when you can observe, the observed number is cheaper and harder to argue with.
Entry point
Northbeam is priced for brands where measurement is a budget line of its own. DropCPL is a fixed monthly subscription that a small team can start without a procurement conversation.
Leads and pages vs revenue and channels
Northbeam answers channel-level and incrementality questions for revenue. DropCPL answers creative-level and page-level questions for lead cost, and it also produces the page.
Where they overlap
Both take the position that the ad platform's own attribution is not a neutral referee, and both put first-party data at the centre of the answer.
Which one fits your problem
If you spend enough that the real question is incrementality and channel mix, Northbeam is in a different league and worth the price. If your problem is that you cannot tell which of your ads and pages produces leads at an acceptable cost, you do not need a model — you need the identifier to survive the trip.
