A lead is worth more than its form fields. The same name and phone number is a different asset depending on which ad, which creative and which landing page produced it — and that context is exactly what gets lost between a form submission and a CRM.
What a routed lead carries
Every lead leaves DropCPL with its attribution attached:
| Field | Why the destination needs it |
|---|---|
ad_id and creative | to route by the creative that produced it |
| campaign and ad set | to reconcile against platform spend |
| landing page | to know which page converted |
click ID, fbclid | to trace back to the click, if disputed |
| timestamp | to match against the platform’s own report |
A call centre can then prioritise the leads from the creative that produces the best customers. A sales team can see which page the lead came through. This is only possible if the attribution travels with the lead.
How it leaves
Outgoing webhook. DropCPL posts the lead and its attribution to an endpoint you control. Delivery is retried on failure, so a destination that is briefly down does not mean a lost lead.
Connectors. For the destinations that are worth wiring directly, so the lead lands where it belongs without you maintaining a middleware.
The boundary, stated plainly
DropCPL does not try to be your CRM. It does not own the sales pipeline, the call log, or the customer record.
That boundary is deliberate. A tool that measures creative performance and a tool that manages a sales relationship are different products, and the second one done badly is worse than not doing it. DropCPL measures the top of the funnel precisely and hands the lead over.
Why routing and attribution belong together
If routing lives in a different system from attribution, the routing rules run on whatever the form happened to capture — usually nothing about the ad. The result is that lead quality signals never make it back to the place where budget decisions are made.
Keeping them in one product is what allows the loop to close: the lead goes out with its ad_id, and the outcome that comes back later can be attributed to the creative that produced it.
